MCBI
must pay for hardware, building and power, and personnel costs to maintain
and grow our supercomputing systems. We are building our user base,
and currently do not charge for initial projects. However, we request
that you write us in to grant support for extended projects, and supply
us with a plan for doing so with your initial project application.
Because
we can share personnel, hardware, security provisions, and building
space between projects, MCBI can often supply supercomputing power at
a reduced cost compared to building your own. We will provide you with
background information, descriptions of our facilities, and a detailed
breakdown of costs appropriate to your project. We also welcome input
from our partners and collaborators when developing MCBIs supercomputing
policies and growth path. We are happy to participate in academic grants
(NIH, NSF), small business grants (SBIR), and state grants (MEDC, Life
Sciences Corridor), etc. Come grow with us!
