Michigan Center for Bioscience Commercialization

The Michigan Center for Bioscience Commercialization (MCBC) is a contract research and development capability located at Western Michigan University’s Bioscience Research and Commercialization Center (BRCC). The MCBC, through its experienced staff and consortium of life science professionals, provides scientific, medical and regulatory consultation to aid in the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device discoveries.

Through its relationship with the BRCC, gap funding may also be provided for appropriate opportunities. The MCBC’s consultation services capitalize on the drug development expertise that is resident locally and through broader networks.

  • Preclinical development including medicinal chemistry, pathology/toxicology, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and protein therapeutics and diagnostics
